Vicky Douthart

Hi!   My name is Vicky,

I have been a part of DHM Ministries from the start! Growing up on a Southern Iowa farm enriched my life with skills that I have continued to use through ministry and in my own life. God challenged my faith on the farm and changed my direction of life as a teenager. I spent several years working with livestock and all sorts of other farm animals. From the farm, God was teaching me how to work and be patient for all things. During that time my earthly father passed away and my life took a new turn. Seeking God’s spirit became my main focus and as I began to trust Him with every step I made, He showed up every time without wavering. I had found in God a New Father that would never leave my side.
About a year later, I began to court my husband (Mike), God had truly set us apart for one another, as all of our family and friends could clearly see when we were together! No friends, it was not “love at first sight”.  God had to bring both of us along individually before we would be ready to take on a life together in ministry. As we began to see God in each other and the desire to reach a lost and dying world, we began to pray and seek God’s will for our lives. Married happily on September 13th, 2003, we became a part of a church ministry in Iowa City, Iowa. Since then, DHM has grown into what it is today.
I love how God has brought all of the different members into our team. The vast difference in each person rounds us as a full circle of God’s Gifts.  I enjoy singing during worship, but I also enjoy one on one fellowship with the people we meet along the way. God has given me the privilege to minister to all age groups. You never know what God might have for you if you just get to know some of the people around you. I believe we are all the body of Christ and each and every person has something to give to the Lord. What a joy it is to serve such an awesome God who never ceases to amaze us!!!!

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” – Romans 12:1 (KJV)

God Bless,
Vicky Douthart
